*~The Story of Three Hearts~*
This is the story of three hearts
whose owners were three girls
that lived in three castles in different parts of the world.
The first heart belonged to
the girl of great beauty
that lived in the castle of wind above the clouds.
And though her window portrayed
the most beautiful sight,
her eyes were blind and couldn’t see.
Her heart was the Missing Heart.
The second heart belonged to
the girl of amazing voice
that lived in the castle of glass in the middle of the sea.
And though there was no
voice like hers, no one would hear her
from inside her castle.
Her heart was the Small Heart.
The third and last heart belonged to
the girl of extensive knowledge
that lived in the castle of sand below the ground.
And though there was no one
that knew more than her,
she would never share with anyone.
Her heart was the Black Heart.
And these three girls lived all by themselves
in their three castles
in three different places of the world.
The first one with an unchanging feeling of indifference.
Just as her eyes couldn’t see,
her heart couldn’t feel.
The second one always scared.
Nothing else could fit in the
tiny place that was her heart.
And the third and last one in eternal pain.
The things her heart knew were so evil
they could kill just by being heard.
One day there was a ball in the mainland,
and three messengers were sent
to three different places,
to invite the three girls.
The first messenger delivered the invitation successfully.
But the girl in the castle of wind could not reply
because she couldn’t read.
The second messenger, aware of this, decided to recite the invitation.
But the girl in the castle of glass could not reply
because she couldn’t hear him.
The third and last messenger, delivered the invitation both ways just to be sure.
But the girl in the castle of sand could not reply
because she couldn’t speak.
With time, the three hearts aged,
The three castles became ruins,
and eventually the three girls died,
having spent all their lives by themselves.
The first one because
she didn’t have
a heart to care.
The second one because
her heart was too small
to give away.
And the third and last one
because her heart
cared too much.
But listen well, my friend, and you can still hear
the whisper of the winds,
the voice of the waters,
and the echo of the sands:
“I see no Love,
I hear no Love,
I speak no Love…”
